1) Collective identity is when a set of individuals share the same norms and values in society this may mean that if people live in Britain they may believe is democracy because of the same values transmitted by Britain they may conform to this culture.
2)I think that things that represent Britain are things like Big Ben, Buckingham palace, the BBC Fish and Chips as they are most seen in the media and represented through these things globally and this may only represent one aspect of Britain.
3) James Mary's top toys offer nostalgic representation of Britain through children because he aims to try and close the gender gap in older and younger people and there are aspects of his programme that reflect loss and neglect in certain things such as the heritage which ha disappeared.
4)New technology has changed collective identity because there are certain identities that are changes because of young people getting inspired by people on YouTube, there is more contribution towards things through Facebook and twitter and young people are engaging with a broad aspect of the media.
5) David Gauntlett describes the new form of identity as interpretive community because now people are using the media to create new forms of identity.
6)Gauntlett suggests that creativity and identity correlate now to more of a significant extent as now people are doing and making rather than sitting back and being told what to do which plays a role in how collective identity is created.
7)Shaun of the Dead provides an example of Henry Jenkins theory through the fans and how they created their identity on this group through their own texts and how this created repetition to occur.
