1)This article states the different ideologies that are being portrayed in capitalist society.
2) The capitalist view that is being represented in the hunger is that there are hints that represent how capitalists dominate everything in society. This is demonstrated through how the rich dominate over the poor as displayed in the hunger games the peacekeepers are sent to control each district of a certain area which means that ideologies with Marxism are being portrayed as the ruling class legitimises the suffering of the poor which they view as inevitable in society. There is further power reinforced through punishment stations being set up which promote the ideology of the Repressive state apparatus which means its controlling people with force and threat of it.
3) The hunger game films suggest that the media influence the audience to a significant scale as it claims that when there is dominance being promoted from the ruling class it gives a source of contribution of these incidents taking place as it mirrors what is going on in society today. This embeds a fear which gets people to commit to the norms and values being demonstrated in the hunger games such as the oppression of the majority group the working classes.

2)The four western beliefs of ideologies that are highlighted by the media are:
- people should put their families first.
- people should work hard for their money.
- women should behave in feminine ways and look after their appearances.
3)Gramsci's theory of hegemony suggests that ideology is promoted through consent rather than the force or threat which means that the elite social group are able to stay in power and dominate through their ideas rather than fear and threat. Gramsci, believes that civil society as the public sphere where trade unions and political parties gained concessions from the bourgeois state, and the sphere in which ideas and beliefs were shaped, where bourgeois 'hegemony' reproduced in cultural life through the media, universities and religious institutions to get the consent and legitimacy needed.
4)The French theorist Louis Althusser suggests that ideology comes in two forms that dominates us in various ways:
He claims that there is a ideological state apparatus which is the the things that dominate our day to day lives implicitly through social institutions like schools, churches, media institutions these promote the norms and values which have been establish in society which gets everyone to follow them without question or any force.
He also suggests that there is a Repressive state control in society which controls our ideologies through major institutions like the police, Government, courts and laws. These are rules by the upper classes through dominance and regulate on different basis to control different things.
5) The idea about 'They live'' about our lives being manipulate I agree to some extent as there is influence of the media but it is also up the individual of how they hold these views around them. This is because it is normally down to individual experiences that can change the way we view different perspectives around us.
