Narrative in advertising: blog task

1)The advert uses narrative by conveying the Nike Brand through different perspectives of people's stories this links with Todorov's theory as we could say there are multiple equilibrium's portrayed through the activities that people do and this brand helps them do these things more actively as a result developing a new equilibrium.
This could further link with Propp's theory as multiple characters have different roles for example n the advert we see a character who is a football coach who goes through multiple problems during the day but succeeds with the help of others and regular training so there is representation of characters like the helper, the dispatcher and the hero.

2)This advert uses celebrities to exhibit the lifestyle of them is equally as important as yours and there is nothing actually holding you back as a result as we see the differences between the normal individual and the celebrity is very similar.

3)The advert used mise en scene through using different Propp's and background of each character creating a new perspective as there are scenes like the distorted one which intrigue the audience by giving a framework well established by keeping the camera constantly moving. The editing is very clear and the advert is clearly exhibited through the accuracy of each part of this advert.

4)The representation of London that the advert offers is that it is demonstrated as being a hardworking and reaching success through busy lifestyle and hard work as shown in this advert everyone is working towards something.

5)This advert may appeal to audiences because it is interesting as you want to listen to each and everyone's story and makes it quite unique in this way as a result.
