The front page stories are 'Theresa May we are ready to walk away'  this story highlights the fact that this newspaper supports conservativism as it is supporting Theresa May. 

2) From your analysis in class, what other stories and topics are covered in this edition of the Daily Mail?
the stories covered in the newspaper were to do with Theresa May and named 'They are behaving like bullies' which is about how Theresa may is handling the Brexit referendum. There are further stories, for example, Keeley Hawes and talks about her androgynous look with a pixie cut wearing a red unitard conveying her as strong influential women from her past modelling career.


3) Media language: Write an analysis of the construction of the Daily Mail homepage: Page design, font, text, images, conventions, hard news/soft news, news values etc.

The homepage is constructed to receive attention from audiences as the font used is very bold and intriguing and is serif reflecting the traditional values of the newspaper. The title also Rhymes which is appealing to audiences. The front two stories of the newspaper have one story which is an example of hard news and the other soft news.

4) Narrative: How is the narrative used in this edition of the Daily Mail? Look at the selection of news: is there an ongoing narrative? How is the narrative created by the paper to engage an audience?

There is narrative created as it gives emotional appeal to audiences so they also feel involved and Theresa May could be identified as the Proppian Hero as she is giving the country hope. This is subverting the stereotypes as she is a woman who is being identified as independent and a strong powerful leader. This newspaper is also supportive of the royal family despite the hate they have received from bringing a black woman into the Monarchy. This lets audiences follow her journey and get a deeper insight into it as it is an ongoing narrative.

Brexit
Explicitly reflected of The Daily Mail's conventionally conservative/right-wing views and bias. Their reflection of Theresa May is quite positive; during a time where news coverage surrounding her efforts is usually negative, this article highlights their support of the Conservative party and what they stand for.
